As a Truss Sales Rep, you will offer wood floor and roof trusses to general contractors and builders of single-family homes. Must have knowledge of the construction industry and proven sales drive. 2-3 years experience of selling within the industry is desired.
Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Truss Sales Representative to join our team. This role focuses on selling wood roof and floor trusses primarily for single-family homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of building materials and construction processes.
Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:
- Prospect and acquire new customers, including builders, contractors, and developers.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to increase sales volume.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.

Product Expertise:
- Educate customers on the benefits and features of wood roof and floor trusses.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers regarding truss specifications and installation requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and regulations related to truss systems.

Quoting and Proposals:
- Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes and proposals based on customer specifications and project requirements.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements to achieve mutual satisfaction.

Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with internal teams such as engineering, production, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and quality service.
- Coordinate with customers and contractors to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the construction industry with knowledge of wood trusses.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand construction blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
- Bi-lingual is strongly preferred.
